A History of Success

Today, Compass is an online learning services provider with 185 distance learning professionals, supporting over 60 online programs, 7,500 enrolled students, and 35,000 total student enrollments. However, the journey began in 1993 with a partnership with the University of Florida to develop health-care certificates with the premise that Compass would provide the entrepreneurial energy to expand their working professional education programs nationwide via distance learning methods and technologies. Soon the public/private partnership grew in scope to include marketing, recruiting, and student support for the distance learning Working Professional Doctor of Pharmacy Program at UF. This relationship continues today, supporting over 600 students around the world.

With this successful foundation we began providing similar services for other prominent, traditional universities entering the distance learning marketplace. Over the years, supported with millions of dollars in investment capital, we invested heavily in leading-edge information systems, added talented professionals, and evolved the processes we had pioneered.

Our expertise has resulted in the successful development of doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s and certificate programs in areas as diverse as healthcare, education, public safety, business, and computer science at such esteemed institutions as University of Florida, Boston University, Northwestern University, the University of Cincinnati, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and others.
