CKG Hires Partnership Director to Lead New Business Unit

Orlando, FL (December, 2009) – Alan Coheley has joined Compass Knowledge Group, the premier provider of distance learning services, as Partnership Director for the company’s new business unit.

Recently Compass Knowledge Group formed a new business unit to partner with additional universities for the development and implementation of online learning programs. Coheley will serve as the business and relationship leader of the new unit, working with a group of Compass’ university partner faculty, staff, and administrators to provide needed support services. Such services include program marketing, student recruitment, instructional design and technology, and ongoing student retention services.

“The online learning industry is growing and, as the leading provider of services for universities in the distance learning marketplace, it is an exciting time at Compass,” said Daniel J. Devine, founder and CEO of Compass Knowledge Group. “We are thrilled Alan has joined our team. His higher education marketing and enrollment management experience will be fine complements to our university partners’ high academic quality.“

“I look forward to working with a dynamic, growing company in an industry I have long been passionate about,“ said Coheley.

Coheley came to Compass Knowledge Group from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, where he was Vice President for Enrollment Management. Coheley has a distinguished career in higher education marketing and online education programs. At Buena Vista University, he oversaw the marketing and recruitment of students for 11 university sites, including both the traditional campus and online program enrollments for undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to Buena Vista, Coheley was Director of Mount Olive College in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Vice President for Enrollment and Student Development and Dean of Students at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
