Compass Knowledge Group and University of Cincinnati Hit a Home Run with 3rd Launch

A third fully online degree program with the University of Cincinnati is successfully implemented with Compass Knowledge Group

Orlando, FL, June 2004 - Compass Knowledge Group, Inc. (“CKNO” or “Compass”), a premier provider of e-learning solutions and the University of Cincinnati (UC), ranked a top 100 public university by U.S.News & World Report college rankings, launches a progressive online program, the Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, with over 50 students this summer.

Today’s Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLSs) and Medical Technologists (MTs) have unlimited, expanded career options according to Jobs Rated Almanac by Les Krantz. The University of Cincinnati has responded to Clinical Laboratory Technicians (CLTs) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) who want to advance their careers to that level with a CLT/MLT to CLS/MT Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science program. UC’s vision is to make their leading curriculum more accessible by providing it through cutting-edge distance learning delivery. Compass provides the distance learning expertise with support services that have already made a positive difference with other online programs at UC, the Master of Education in Educational Administration and the Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Compass has built a positive track record in e-learning solutions for three diverse programs with UC and applies their successful end-to-end services as needed to assist the University of Cincinnati in reaching their strategic program goals.

“The needs assessment, marketing, and recruitment services provided by Compass gave us the quick jump start we needed to implement our dream of a high quality distance learning program,” said Elizabeth King, Ph.D., Dean, College of Allied Health Sciences, University of Cincinnati. The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science program is accredited by the National Association of Clinical Laboratory Sciences* (NAACLS), the accrediting agency for CLS/MT and other laboratory related educational programs.

Compass and the University of Cincinnati are discussing several other degree programs for distance learning delivery. Compass will be assessing each program’s strengths and growth opportunities with its unique assessment model.
